Wagner Earning Grassroots Support and ResourcesBALLWIN – Just days after a hugely successful campaign kick off with several hundred supporters in her own backyard, Ann Wagner today reported raising more than a half-million in the first 9 weeks of her campaign for U.S. Congress. The Wagner campaign will report raising more than a half-million dollars. In her first Congressional fundraising quarter, Ann Wagner will set a Missouri record for a first-time candidate for U.S. Congress. The Wagner campaign report will show $523,130 raised with $506,354.92 cash on hand.
“Our campaign is roaring out of the gate powered by the strength and energy of our grassroots supporters as we saw last week when hundreds came to our home for the campaign kickoff in a driving rainstorm,” said Wagner. “It was really humbling to be joined by dear friends and supporters with whom I have worked alongside in so many conservative causes and campaigns. My roots are in the grassroots, so while strong fundraising is critical to our success, the foundation of our campaign will be built on the grassroots movement that is supporting our campaign.” Wagner said her key priorities will be cutting up the government’s credit card, stopping the spending spree in Washington, ending the federal government’s hostility toward job creators and ensuring the people of the 2nd District always know where she stands. Ann Wagner grew up and lives in Missouri’s Second Congressional District. Last Thursday she kicked off her campaign at an old-fashioned backyard barbecue with several hundred supporters at her home in Ballwin. “I grew up in this district, was educated here, have raised my family here and have served the community here - and now I want to go to Washington to ensure the next generation has the same opportunities that I had – and right now, for the first time in history, Americans do not believe their kids will have it better than they did,” Wagner said. Ann Wagner is running to serve Missouri’s Second Congressional District. To learn more about Ann go to http://www.AnnWagner.com, follow her on Twitter and become a fan on Facebook.
