Ambassador John Bolton Endorses Ann Wagner’s Campaign in Missouri’s 2nd Congressional District

Ballwin – Ann Wagner’s campaign announced this morning that former UN Ambassador, John Bolton, has endorsed her campaign for United States Congress in Missouri’s 2nd District. Ambassador Bolton’s endorsement of Ann’s campaign is his first endorsement in the 2012 election cycle.

"Washington needs leaders who stand on conservative principles, stand for the Constitution and have deep roots in the District. That is why I am proud to announce my endorsement of Ann Wagner in Missouri’s 2nd Congressional District.

Ann Wagner is a principled conservative who will shake things up in Washington with her hard-charging, no-nonsense approach to problem solving. Nobody outworks Ann Wagner and nobody is more connected to the people than Ann. Her deep roots in the district and long history in the grassroots movement have earned her the respect of countless activists in Missouri and nationwide.

John R. Bolton, a diplomat and a lawyer, has spent many years in public service. From August 2005 to December 2006, he served as the U.S. permanent representative to the United Nations. From 2001 to 2005, he was under secretary of state for arms control and international security. Ambassador Bolton is a Senior Fellow at the American Enterprise Institute and his area of research is U.S. foreign and national security policy.
