Wagner:  “Show me the jobs, Mr. President”

Ballwin – Ann Wagner commented today on President Barack Obama making a private campaign stop in St. Louis before going to Dallas, Texas to push for his so-called American Jobs Act bill. To learn more about Ann’s campaign visit annwagner.com and follow her on Twitter @Ann4Congress.

“The President continues to make speeches and campaign across the nation in a desperate attempt to rescue his floundering administration and their failed policies. Now, with the economy still sputtering, and an anxious and fearful electorate, Mr. Obama ignores the workers of Missouri who have been hit hard by his administration’s failure and sweeps in for a private fundraising event. To that, I ask – Show me the jobs, Mr. President.

“From 2008 to 2010, Missouri has lost over 98,000 jobs and the median family income dropped by over $2,300. It is undeniable that the first stimulus was a failure. Mr. Obama will again call on Congress to ‘pass this bill’ while in Texas. I call on Congress to stop the President’s agenda and pass real, effective legislation that will get Missourians working again.

“The solution is really simple: First, stop the spending spree. Second, lower tax rates across the board, especially on small business owners. Third, stop borrowing money and cut up the government’s credit card. Fourth, reduce over regulation so businesses can hire and workers can find jobs. And, finally, repeal Obama’s job-crushing health care takeover.

“The President promised us jobs with his first failed stimulus – he is promising the American people jobs again with this second stimulus. We can’t trust the President to deliver on his word any longer – we need smart, effective, conservative policy that will get people back to work. Sadly, the President simply doesn’t understand and is still in over his head.”
