WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Susan B. Anthony List Candidate Fund, a national pro-life political action committee, announced, today, its endorsement of Ann Wagner, former Ambassador and candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives in Missouri's 2nd Congressional district. She will most likely face Rep. Russ Carnahan (D-MO).

"The Susan B. Anthony List Candidate Fund is proud to endorse Ann Wagner for Congress," said SBA List President Marjorie Dannenfelser. "She provides the ideal contrast to Representative Russ Carnahan. His record of support for taxpayer funded abortion on demand earned him a 100 percent rating with both NARAL and Planned Parenthood. Ann Wagner is the type of leader women need in Washington - a tireless voice for women and unborn children."

Ann Wagner is a former Ambassador to Luxembourg and served as Chairman of former Rep. Roy Blunt's successful U.S. Senate campaign in Missouri. She served for 9 years as a local committeewoman in Lafayette Township. When she ran for RNC Chair she did a Skype interview with SBA List President Marjorie Dannenfelser discussing her pro-life views which is viewable HERE.

Her likely opponent is Rep. Russ Carnahan, who has a 0 percent score with the National Right to Life Committee, and a 100 percent rating from Planned Parenthood and NARAL.

During the 2010 election cycle, SBA List spent $11 million and was involved in 90 races, 62 of which resulted in victories. Successes included: defeating 15 of 20 so-called "pro-life" Democrats who voted for abortion funding in the health care reform bill, increasing the number of pro-life women in the House by 70 percent, filling the void of pro-life women in the U.S. Senate, and increasing the number of pro-life women governors from one to four.
